Preventing Tinnitus in Soldiers

Although the military does use earplugs in order to protect the hearing of its members, due to the chaos and complexity of combat, soldiers will inevitably be exposed to significant noise trauma. Interesting research indicates that the usage of certain oral supplements may be protective in terms of preventing permanent cochlear death, and the subsequent maladaptive rewiring of the auditory cortex (thereby preventing tinnitus).
